So you want to become a member of River Cities Paranormal Society... With the onslaught of paranormal television shows, the demand for paranormal investigations has increased over the last few years. Television and the internet has set a type of “standard” on how ghost hunters should present themselves, the type of equipment they should use (marketing has set the tone for communicating with the dead such as the KII meter), and has brilliantly defined this field as a glamorous rock star lifestyle. Paranormal investigations is not as seen on “Ghost Hunters”, “Ghost Adventures”, “Most Haunted”, and others. Paranormal research is difficult and tedious work. It is demanding of your time, your money, and your sanity. It will test the very core of your beliefs and rob you of your family time. You will not get paid for this type of field work. If you are someone who has their fingers dipped into many slices of your personal pie (work, family, friends, various activities, active social life, etc...), this paranormal stuff, might not be for you. There are a bunch of thrill seekers out there simply looking for a quick ghostly thrill, but RCPS is more... Way more. We get down in the dirt and get our hands dirty. We're looking for highly motivated individuals who are seriously passionate about this type of research. Open minded people who are not blinded by what they have seen on television. Ouija boards, crystal dangling, and table tipping is just not logical and we do not waste our time with these fraudulent methods of investigations. We leave religion at the door for this field. Our members are diverse with their beliefs. From Christian, Atheist, Agnostic, Pagan, and more. RCPS is not a soapbox for a Deity approach to what happens to us after death.
